Mon Yough Chorale

Welcome to our Website

The executive committee met and after reviewing the results of the recent membership survey, taking into consideration the current trend of the Delta Variant and in consultation with Ken have decided to reopen rehearsals. The plan is as follows:

   * Rehearsals will begin on September 12, 7 p.m., at Sampson's Mills
   * Only members who are FULLY VACCINATED will be accepted at this time
   * You must show your proof of vaccination card on September 12
   *  For the time being, rehearsals will be held every other week
   *  We will set up the chairs so we are socially distanced
   *  We will be evaluating the situation from week to week
Any new members or those wishing to join the group must comply with these guidelines. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 12th!!!

The Mon Yough Chorale is a non-sectarian group of singers. We perform for many organizations and municipalities in and around Western Pennsylvania. Anyone wishing to sing is welcome and invited to come to a rehearsal to preview the group prior to committing to the group. No auditions are necessary.

In addition to singing locally, we also compete in a yearly competition called Saengerfest held in June each year coordinated by the United Singers Federation of Pennsylvania. Member choruses are currently from: Altoona, Williamsport, Reading, Lebanon and Mon Yough. Each chorus hosts the competition on a rotating basis.
